| Breaking News |  | Sweet Sweep for Orlando Monday, October 17th, 2011: The Orlando Orcas made quick work of Wichita in the PBL Championship Series and swept them. They cinched their 1st Pastime Baseball League crown today at Cavs Ballpark with a 6-3 victory over the Brigade.
During the regular season play, the Orcas notched a 89-73 record and wound up in first place in the Southern League East race. |  | PBL News: Draft Pool Revealed Sunday, October 16th, 2011: The 2011 Pastime Baseball League amateur draft pool has been officially released and a mad frenzy of scouting, strategizing and actual drafting unfolds over the course of the next month. Some teams will pick the top names while others will go with less expensive, unknown commodities. Regardless of the strategy, clubs one and all will be making their final decisions in thirty days time.

The 21-year-old Sheckard got 5 hits in 5 at-bats, helping to send New York down to defeat.
J. Sheckard doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off B. Drake in the 8th and walked in the 10th.
